Dan Diviney to form
an Irish band, Cormorant's Fancy.
Curtis has since left the band, Joel
Folkemer joined,
played for 7 years and recently left to pursue a career and raise
a family, and a few others have joined and parted.
Chuck Krepley was welcomed as our newest member, and along
with Beth, Stephen, Joel, Meg & Dan are is performing
and having a ball. The Cormorant is most likely the
'black
bird' which is translated from Ó Duibheanaigh, the Irish
ancestors of
Diviney, and a fancy is a fiddle tune. The band added some
Scottish songs
and tunes, as well as a few from other Celtic nations. You'll
find this
Irish band playing an occasional English and American song as well.
The band can perform with anywhere from 3 to 5 musicians.
